How to Calculate Your Age
on Another Planet

STEP 1) How many years old are you now? Multiply that by the number of days in a year, 365.26. The fraction .26 is added to account for the leap year days. Drop the fraction from your answer.

A = _______ years x 365.26 days/year = ______________ days

STEP 2) What is the day number of your birthday? Add the number of days in all of the months before your birthday, then add the date itself. For example, if your birthday were June 12th, you would add 31 + 28 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 12 = 163.

B = Day Number of Your Birthday ___________

STEP 3) What is the day number of today? (find as in Step 2 above)

C = ____________

STEP 4) Subtract B from C. This is the number of days since your last birthday, that is, if you already had a birthday this year.

D = (C) ____________ - (B) ___________ + 1 = ________________

STEP 5) If D < 0, write in 365. Otherwise, write in 0.

E = ____________

STEP 6) Add all the numbers in A, D, and E. This is the number of days you are alive.

F = (A) __________ + (D) __________ + (E) __________ = ___________

STEP 7) Pick a planet and write its name: _________________________

STEP 8) Look up the length of its year in earth days:

G = ____________________

STEP 9) Look up the length of its day in hours:

H = __________________

STEP 10) Calculate how many planet years old you are:

(F) _____________ ÷ (G) _______________ = ___________________

STEP 11) Calculate how many planet days old you are:

(F) _____________ x 23.934 ÷ (H) _____________ = _________________
